The teaser for Baahubali: The Eternal War Part 1 re-opens the saga of Mahishmati with fresh ambition. Directed by Ishan Shukla and presented by franchise creator S. S. Rajamouli, this 3D-animated epic is set in the same world but promises a new form of spectacle.
From its first moments, the teaser delivers grand visuals: celestial realms, divine opposition, chariots and chasms. Shukla’s animation opens up the myth in ways live action couldn’t, signalling that the medium itself is part of the reinvention.
Rajamouli’s involvement grounds the project in the legacy of Baahubali but the animation allows the universe to expand beyond prior boundaries. The teaser suggests a cosmic scale not just kingdoms at war, but gods, realms and destinies hinting at the “14 realms of existence” mentioned in the premise.

For fans of the franchise the shift to animation might have felt risky yet the teaser takes bold steps and makes them feel intentional. If the final project lives up to this glimpse, it could not only extend the world of Baahubali, but also mark a major step for Indian animation as a cinematic force.
